Announcing Hot Brown Surprise!

We're at the GAMA Trade Show in Louisville, KY this week giving away copies of our newest trading card game, Hot Brown Surprise! This game was inspired by the famous Louisville sandwich, the Hot Brown, which includes savory staples like bacon, turkey, tomatoes, and Mornay sauce and can be remixed and enhanced with a variety of decadent ingredients. 

In Hot Brown Surprise, players take turns playing ingredient cards from their hand face-down to build a single pile (known as the "Sandwich"). The Sandwich is complete when each player has one card remaining in hand. Then, the pile of cards is flipped over, and the effects on the ingredient cards are resolved in the order they were played. Once all effects are resolved, the player with the highest fullness score remaining in their hand wins!

Each pack contains 9 standard ingredient cards and 2 surprise rare ingredient cards that vary by pack. We're excited to share a sneak peek of some of the rare ingredients in our next blog post, so stay tuned! But here's a look at the standard ingredients you'll find in every pack (and the recipe that makes up the classic Hot Brown sandwich):

Toast: The foundation for the beautiful sandwich you're about to make. Cut some thick slices and get them nice and toasty! 

Light Turkey: Layer on some turkey (don't worry - there's Dark Turkey too for all of the dark meat lovers out there!) 

Mornay Sauce: Pour the Mornay sauce ALL over that turkey. Let it bathe in the cheesy goodness. 

Tomato: Top with some tomato for acidity to balance out the rich sauce and toss the sandwich in the oven to broil.

Bacon: Mmmmmm....smell that bacon sizzle! Add some slices right on top to bring that savory flavor and crispy texture! 

Once the sandwich is ready, dig in and see who wins! With so many other ingredients available, we're excited to see the endless combinations that come from each game played!
